As the sun rose on September 13, the skies above Shenzhen were bright and clear—just the right mood for a long-awaited getaway. Over 130 members of the VIVLASER team gathered with sunglasses, duffel bags, and big smiles, ready for a well-deserved break in the scenic mountains of Qingyuan.
Fresh off the heels of a high-intensity industry expo, this two-day team retreat was more than just a change of scenery—it was the company’s way of saying, “You’ve done great. Let’s hit pause and recharge—together.”
Into the Wild: Canyoning & Rafting
Our first stop: the rugged beauty of the Xuan Zhen Gorge. After a quick change and safety brief, we geared up and stepped into the cool mountain stream.
What followed was an afternoon of laughter and splashes. From scaling rocks and sliding down mini-waterfalls to rafting through rapid waters, the team embraced every twist and turn.
Armed with water scoops, we declared spontaneous splash wars. It didn’t matter if you were a newcomer or a team lead—everyone got drenched and everyone had fun.
More than just a physical challenge, this was a reminder: when the pressure’s off and the barriers come down, connections deepen—and that’s where real team chemistry forms.
A Walk in the Stream: Pijia Mountain
The next morning took us to Pijia Mountain for a calming hike through a forested canyon. With sunlight peeking through the trees and water trickling beside us, the pace slowed and conversations turned easy.
We crossed rope bridges, paused for photos under waterfalls, and helped each other across slippery stones. These little moments—of care, laughter, and shared silence—felt like gentle threads tying us closer together.
At the peak, we didn’t need posed group photos. People naturally gathered, smiling freely—just happy to be there, together.
Floating Home: Lunch on the Beijiang River
To wrap up the trip, we boarded a riverboat for a laid-back lunch on the peaceful Beijiang River.
Local dishes were served as the boat drifted past green mountains and gentle waves. Stories of “who got soaked the most” echoed between bites, and no one reached for their phones.
After the meal, some headed up to the deck—soaking in the wind, humming along to karaoke, and even dancing a little. It wasn’t just the end of the trip—it was a moment to exhale.
